Overview

The BIF17 furnaces are designed for high temperature heat treatment applications for high temperature materials such as precious metals & technical ceramics. BIF17 offers chamber capacity ranging from 82 to 227 liters in standard versions. Other chamber capacities/volumes are offered in custom-built models.

Standard Features
  • Substantial Molybdenum Disilicide loop elements mounted on 2 chamber sides.
  • Dense refractory front vestibule, chamber floor and part side walls; remainder low thermal mass ceramic fibre materials.
  • Robust rolled hollow section steel framework with folded edge infill panels, all finished in a durable stoved epoxy enamel.
  • Overtemperature protection system included as standard.
  • The furnace is fitted with an electrically operated upward opening door on a parallel link that keeps the hot face away from the operator.
  • B-type thermocouple.
  • High end Microprocessor PID controller.
  • A small ceramic chimney is fitted as standard.

  • Retorts and gas control systems are available for when processes involve inert or reducing atmospheres.
