Overview

The TMV18(Z3) furnace is a vertical-mounted tube furnace with a separate control console, ideal for most general laboratory thermal processing applications.

Heating elements

Molybdenum tungsten Disilicide heating elements are mounted along the front and rear walls of the furnace chamber.

Standard Features
  • The TMV18(Z3) furnaces are designed to give a longer uniform centre zone temperature than that of the single zone tube furnace models of the same length.
  • All TMV18(Z3) models are controlled by retransmission of set point from the centre zone controller to the end zone controllers.
  • A work tube is not supplied as an integral part of the furnace and therefore needs to be ordered with the furnace as it is an essential accessory.
  • Protective outer mesh covers for improved operator safety.
  • Low thermal mass insulation used throughout for maximum thermal efficiency and stability.
  • 'B' type Thermocouples are used in these furnaces.
  • Over temperature protection is included in the standard specification.
  • High end Microprocessor PID controller.
  • Horizontal models are supplied as standard with controls in the base.
  • Single, Phase angle fired thyristor unit in conjunction with a low voltage secondary winding isolating transformer providing the correct operating parameters for the heating elements.

  • Work tubes of various materials, lengths and diameters for use in the furnace
  • Two or more zones are also available

  • The work tubes are available for containment of atmosphere or protection against process contaminants
